Valeska Hykel’s monotypes work at the boundaries of painting and print. Painting directly onto silkscreens, she explores a series of material interventions in traditional printing processes. The
resulting images degrade, leaving patinas that evoke the delicate weight of memory and time.

Valeska was Artist in Residence at Print Club London. She has exhibited at Royal Society of Arts,
PCL, Modern Art Oxford, Chelsea Design Centre, Unit 1 Gallery, and Woolwich Contemporary
Print Fair (‘22,‘23,’24 & ’25), among others. She was invited to contribute to AOP Gallery charity
auctions (‘24 & ‘26), and was a winner of the Delphian Open Call 2025.
