ROSIE WOODS

Rosie Woods is a British street artist and muralist whose work lives in the space between digital technology and physical paint. Born in 1989 and raised in London, she now splits her time between the UK and Australia, travelling internationally for large-scale commissions and festival walls.

Her process is unusual. She starts every piece in 3D modelling software, building compositions digitally before picking up a spray can or brush. The result is work that looks like it shouldn't be possible on a flat surface -- hyper-realistic textures layered with forms that feel three-dimensional, glowing, almost holographic. It's a method she's developed over a decade of painting at scale, and it gives her work a quality that's immediately recognisable.

Rosie spent years focused on murals, painting walls across Europe, Asia and Australia. The last few years have seen a return to the studio and to canvas, where she's been exploring the same ideas at a more intimate scale. The studio work is more precise, more considered. But the energy from the street is still there.

Her work has been featured by the BBC and she was named one of 50 essential contemporary artists in the 2023 publication "Street Art by Women." Brand collaborations include Nike, Meta, Amazon and Red Bull. She's painted at London Mural Festival, No More Blank Walls, and festival walls across multiple continents.

At BSMT, Rosie has become a core part of the programme. She showed in the group exhibition 'Block Party' in 2024, followed by her debut solo 'Hyper Gold' in March 2025 - a show that explored luminous, gold-drenched compositions and was accompanied by two large-scale golden murals across London. Her second solo at BSMT, 'Digital Detox', opens 16 April 2026 - hyper-real golden leaf paintings in spray paint and abstract canvases that mark a deliberate step away from the digital processes that built her career.
