PAPPAS PARLOR

Pappas Parlor started creating bead art with his daughter. Little did he know it would take over his life: the hobby has since become his full-time job and greatest passion. When his studio became too cramped, his creations spilled out into the urban environment, transforming his hometown of Motala, Sweden with his beadwork street art. Locals grew accustomed to spotting playful installations, like beaded plastic flowers in a garden bed or a giant chocolate bar made of beads and concrete.
Pappas Parlor draws most of his inspiration from the pixelated aesthetic of video games, constantly pushing the limits of what  bead art can achieve. He experiments with making bead creations more three-dimensional and crafting recognisable images with the fewest beads possible. His subjects also include pop culture references and timely events, with a dash of social commentary woven into some of his works.
