Art and travel have always been Nicla's passion. As an adult she has been fortunate enough to turn them both into careers and what a joy to combine them!

The incredible texture and designs that occur in nature have been what inspires her. Designs evolved out of necessity, to show how each creature/natural thing is ready, willing and able to simply survive.

The wrinklier and ‘uglier’ the better. It’s the funky and individual personalities she see's in each creature that shines out beyond their rough exteriors and it is this she tries to capture. 

She remarks: "I know I could spend my life trying to capture and replicate the scenes that nature displays effortlessly, and it would not be a wasted life".
